Chat history and memory
Ziva saves chat history on your computer. Closing a conversation or leaving it idle does not delete its messages. See Chat History to find and reopen a saved chat.
This page is about saved conversations and your computer’s memory. To have Ziva remember preferences such as “I’m new to Godot - explain each change simply,” see Memories.
Privacy
Saving a chat locally does not mean the conversation stays only on your computer. When you send a request, Ziva sends the information needed to answer it to your selected model.
If a chat takes time to reopen
- Give a long chat a moment to load, then scroll upward for earlier messages.
- Keep the editor open while a task is running or waiting for an approval or answer. Follow Queue and steer for messages waiting to be sent.
- If chat updates stop, use the connection retry control. If it does not recover, follow Connection troubleshooting.
