For forensic animation studios, accident reconstruction firms & trial lawyers

What happens to the crash animation when the other side comes back with a different speed?

Send what the case file already holds: the police report and diagram, the EDR download, statements, and scene photos. Ziva builds the scene to scale and animates both vehicles from your expert's speeds and timing, with the overhead, driver's seat, and witness views a jury needs. When the case changes, the change lands in the same scene instead of a rebuild.

See the collision from above, the driver's seat, and the witness's corner.

This Unreal Engine example is a sample case, not a real crash. The intersection is built to scale, both vehicles are timed from the EDR, the sight line is traced, and a re-run at the other side's speed lands in the same scene. In a real case, speeds, positions, and timing come from your reconstruction expert, who is responsible for their accuracy. The document upload shown is coming soon.

Start from whatever you already have

Most projects start from one or two of these. None of them is required. Send what you have and the review identifies what is missing.

  • The police report and diagram, driver and witness statements, and scene photos.
  • The EDR download and your reconstructionist's analysis of speeds, positions, and timing.
  • Scans, survey data, or dashcam video of the scene, if the file holds them.

What you get back

  • An editable project in your engine: the scene to scale, both vehicles animated from your expert's speeds and timing, and the overhead, driver's seat, and witness views.
  • Sight lines traced, with speed and seconds to impact on screen.
  • Changes made in the same scene when the case changes: a new expert opinion, deposition testimony, or the other side's version of the speed.

Ziva for Godot 4.2 and later is available to download today. Unity is in beta. Unreal Engine and Isaac Sim begin with a scoped enterprise pilot.

How the work is priced

Enterprise pricing is custom to your organization, engine, and use case. There is no public price list. Send what you have through the project inquiry and the quote follows that review. Support and commercial terms are written into the engagement.

Questions to resolve before production.

Does Ziva work out what happened?
No. Ziva builds the scene and the animation. The speeds, positions, and timing in a real case come from your reconstruction expert, who is responsible for their accuracy.
Is the animation admissible?
Ziva makes no claim that the output is admissible, forensically accurate, or evidence. The court decides admissibility, and your expert lays the foundation for what the animation shows.
Who owns the project after handoff?
You do. You retain all rights to the code and content you create using Ziva, the project is handed over as editable source in your engine, and Ziva never uses your code to train AI models. Read the terms of service.
