Add code to chat

Use Add to Chat to ask Ziva about a specific section of a Godot script. The message includes the selected code, its file path and its line range.

Send selected lines

  1. Open a script in Godot’s script editor.
  2. Select the lines you want Ziva to see.
  3. Click Add to Chat.
  4. Check that the selection appears in the Ziva message box, then type your question and send it.

For example, select a movement function and ask, “What does this code do?” You can also paste an image into the same message to ask about both the code and what you see.

The selection captures the code at the time you click Add to Chat. If you edit those lines before sending, select them again and add the updated selection.

To include a whole file instead, type @ in the message box and choose the file.

Plan requirements

Add to Chat has no separate plan requirement. You need access to the model selected for the conversation.

Privacy

Selected code becomes part of your chat and is sent to the model you choose when you send the message.

Troubleshooting

Add to Chat is missing. Open a script and select some non-empty code in Godot’s script editor.

The message fails with “Unsupported or invalid attachment MIME: text/plain”. Update Ziva using the update guide, then try again. If you cannot update yet, remove the selected-code item from the message and paste the snippet as text instead.
