Gemini 4 Argon

Gemini 4 Argon is Google’s model for complex changes and multi-step tasks. It can read your attached images and screenshots from tools. Try: “Look at this screenshot and help me make the game menu easier to read. Explain your plan first.”

Choose Argon

Select Ziva Genius in the model picker to use Argon. Genius requires Pro or higher. Chats already using Genius receive Argon when their model list refreshes.

You can also select Advanced, then Gemini 4 Argon under Google. Direct selection follows your plan’s hosted-model access rules, without Genius’s Pro requirement. Chats pinned to another specific model stay on that model.

If Argon is missing, restart your editor to refresh the model list.

Usage and discount

Argon uses your Ziva usage allowance, with a 50% discount on its displayed catalog rates. It is not a free model. Your plan’s hosted-model access rules and usage limits still apply.

The catalog currently reflects Google’s introductory pricing through November 30, 2026. Check the model picker for current prices. Choosing Priority applies Ziva’s normal Priority usage multiplier.

Optional reference: discounted token prices

Tokens are small pieces of text the model reads or produces. At the current discounted rates, each million tokens costs:

UsagePrice
Uncached input$1.18
Cached input (reused input)$0.059
Output, including thinking$5.90

Reasoning and privacy

Reasoning effort controls how much thinking the model does before answering. Argon’s default is Medium. Choose Low for simpler tasks or High for harder ones. Higher effort can take longer and use more allowance.

Hosted Argon requests send your prompts, supplied project context, and images to Google for processing. Its privacy label is Temporary retention, not zero data retention. Avoid sending sensitive material that you do not want processed by a hosted model.

Troubleshooting

If a request takes too long, try a lower reasoning effort or a smaller task. A usage-limit message requires checking your Ziva allowance; the discount does not bypass a reached limit. Connection or provider errors are covered in Ziva’s troubleshooting documentation.
