Using Ziva
Modes
Click the mode name in the message box, or type /default, /plan or /ask.
- Default reads, edits and runs your project.
- Plan researches first and shows a plan. Choose Implement the plan to start.
- Ask only reads your project. Nothing is changed.
Approvals
Ziva asks before actions that need permission. Choose Allow, Always allow for this project, or Reject. To skip prompts, turn on Auto-approve all actions in Settings → Agent.
Undo and retry
Under a finished reply, Undo restores your project files to before that request, and Retry restores them and sends the request again.
Undo also removes manual edits you made since that request. Keep a backup of work you want to protect. New imported assets over 10 MB, such as large models or audio from an asset pack, are not restored.
Attach images, video, code and voice
- Images: paste a screenshot into the message box, or ask Ziva to take one of the editor.
- Video: attach an MP4, MOV or WebM up to 100 MB. The selected model must support video.
- Code: select lines in Godot's script editor and click Add to Chat, or type
@to attach a file or folder. - Voice: click the microphone, or hold Ctrl+Shift+Space (Cmd+Shift+Space on macOS) anywhere in the editor.
Send follow-ups while Ziva works
Type in the message box while Ziva works. Enter queues the message for after the current task. Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on macOS) steers the current task instead. Pressing Stop puts waiting messages back in the message box.
Reuse an earlier message
In an empty message box, press Up to bring back your last message, and keep pressing for older ones. Down goes back to newer ones, then empties the box. You get the last 20 messages you sent in this project, text only: attach images or code again.
Stash a message for later
To ask something else first, click + in the message box and choose Stash message, or press Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on macOS). Ziva clears the message box and keeps the message, with its images, video and code, until you need it. Click the bookmark button with a number, at the bottom of the message box, to see stashed messages, then click one to put it back. Ziva keeps your last 20, and keeps their images and files for 7 days.
