Game Character Generator: AI Pixel Art Sprites

Pick a character archetype such as a knight, slime or robot, add a few details, choose pixel art or a smooth style, and get a full-body game character sprite on a transparent background at 64 to 512 pixels. Generation runs on your Ziva account and every result from your visit stays in a gallery below it.

Step 1 of 3: Character

Pick a starting point:

How to use it

  1. Pick an archetype such as Knight, Slime or Robot, or Custom, add details if you like, and press Next.
  2. Choose Pixel art or Smooth and a Palette and mood, then press Next.
  3. Pick a size from 64x64 to 512x512. Sign in to Ziva if asked, then press Generate character.
  4. Press Open full size to save the PNG, or Generate another for a new take.
  5. Press Copy Ziva prompt to have Ziva import the sprite as your player and make it move.

Write a character description that works

Describe what you can see, not the backstory: silhouette, clothing, one or two colors and one prop. A rogue with a green hood, a short dagger and a patched brown cloak gives the model something to draw; a rogue who was betrayed by the guild does not.

Keep the character to one strong shape. Sprites are viewed small, so a big hat, a long scarf or a glowing staff reads better than fine embroidery. For pixel art, sizes of 64 or 128 keep the pixel look; 256 and 512 suit smooth art that the engine scales down.

Use the sprite in Godot

Drag the PNG into the FileSystem dock, add a Sprite2D under your CharacterBody2D player and set its Texture to the sprite. The transparent background means no cleanup is needed.

For pixel art, set Project Settings > Rendering > Textures > Canvas Textures > Default Texture Filter to Nearest so the pixels stay sharp when scaled. Godot also has a 2D snap setting, Snap 2D Transforms to Pixel, that gives low-resolution games a crisper look.

Ziva can also generate sprites and sound effects directly inside the Godot editor and build the scenes and scripts that use them, so you can ask for the character, its movement script and its jump sound in one chat.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make pixel art characters with this?
Yes. Choose Pixel art in the Style step and a size of 64x64 or 128x128 for a classic look. Each sprite comes back as a PNG with a transparent background.
Is the game character generator free?
You can fill in every step without an account. Generating needs a Ziva account, and each generation counts toward your Ziva plan's AI usage.
Does the sprite have a transparent background?
Yes. The character is trimmed to its outline and fitted onto a transparent square at the size you picked, so you can drop it straight into a game engine.
Can it make a walk cycle or sprite sheet?
This tool makes one idle pose per generation. To animate it, draw or generate the extra frames and pack them into one sheet with the sprite sheet generator.
How do I get the same character again?
Keep the same archetype, details, style and palette and press Generate another. Results vary each time, so every one you make stays in the This session gallery until you leave the page.
